Becky's Smothered Pork Chops

First off, let me start by warning you that these pork chops are addicting!!  There have been picky eaters from the age of three to well in their 80's that have fallen prey to the amazingness of these pork chops.  Not to brag or get prideful, but I hit a home run with this experiment!  Sometimes we win, sometimes we fail, but we can always use every kitchen experiment to learn.

Since it has taken me much longer than it should have to share this recipe with you, I will just get started so that you can make them yourselves.  I just have one request.  When you share this recipe, please be sure to give the credit back to me (Becky Maxwell, 50's Housewife).  When a woman wins with a kitchen experiment, it becomes something very precious to her, as is the case here.

What you need:
  • Family size package of boneless pork chops
  • Family size can Cream of Chicken
  • 1 package Kraft Fresh Take – Savory Four Cheese (found in the cheese aisle)
  • Seasonings of your choice. I prefer Zesty Lemon or Lemon Herb, along with Creole.
Cook the pork chops on a medium low heat in a large skillet (with lid) until done.  Move pork chops to a plate while you use the pan for the gravy.
In the large skillet, combine the remaining ingredients.  Mix well and bring to a nice simmer, being sure to scrape the remnants off of the bottom from the pork chops cooking.
Add the pork chops into the skillet, burying them in the gravy, place lid on top, and cook on a low setting for 15-20 minutes.
LET IT SIMMER for the time specified.  Do not skip the step, even though your house smells delicious right now.  This step allows the pork chops to really tenderize so they will melt in your mouth when you eat them.

You are now ready to enjoy the most amazing smothered pork chops you will ever place in your mouth!! Okay, most amazing pork chops period.  These ones just happened to be smothered.
I like to change the second vegetable out with the meal, but you will always find mashed potatoes and biscuits.  Mashed potatoes are for the extra gravy in the pan and biscuits are for wiping up the extra gravy on your plate after you finish everything else.  You can do salad, green beans, corn, carrots, asparagus, whatever veggie your heart desires with this meal.  It's pretty adaptable.

***If you make these pork chops, please leave a comment about how they went over with your family/friends.  Also, feel free to share the link with everyone you know!!  Please leave a comment if you make any adaptations as well, as I'm always up for trying new things with current menu items.
